Activity: meet the local citizens

In this activity we had to interview local citizens of Nyborg, and ask them about their use of social media in relation to our topic. There were not a lot of people on the streets, which is why we asked some students from the school.

These are the questions we used: 

1. Do you use social media? Which? 
2. Have you ever seen extremism or political activism on facebook? Which and what do you think about it?
3.  Are you critical towards political information you find on the internet?
4. Do you believe in any conspiracy thoughts you found on the Internet?
5. Would you agree, that you can write everything that's on your mind on the internet? Why?

Do you use social media? Which?
Yes I do. I use facebook, twitter, youtube and instagram.
Sometimes spotify aswell.

Have you ever seen extremism or political activism on facebook? Which and what do you think about it?
Well, its pretty hard to avoid political activism on facebook, some of my friends are pretty interested, so sometimes they post all kinds of political stuff.
When it comes to political exstremism i'm normally trying to avoid it.
Why?Because the sources are always really subjective.

 Are you critical towards political information you find on the internet?Well if i'm gonna use the information to an asignment, i always check the credibility of the source.

Do you believe in any conspiracy thoughts you found on the Internet?
No I'm really sceptic about things like that. So no.

Would you agree, that you can write everything that's on your mind on the internet? Why? 
Thats a really tough question, because I like the freedom of speech, but I still think that you only have bad things to say you should keep it to yourself.

Bad things? Like What?
Like negative things about races and religions and things like that.


We also interviewed this guy from PreIB, and asked him the same questions. The sound is not very good, but we hope you get the impression of his thoughts.
